Paul Mahony practises primarily in the fields of telecommunications, information technology, computer science, and electrical engineering. His work is presently focused on the drafting of patent specifications, local and international prosecution, and patent oppositions.

Paul worked as a technology specialist with the telecommunications carrier Telstra before joining Spruson & Ferguson’s electrical group in 1999. He has a strong background in telecommunications, with extensive industrial experience designing and commissioning facets of an international switching network.

Paul is qualified both as an electrical engineer and in the fields of computer science and pure mathematics.

Paul is a Fellow of the Institute of Patent and Trade Marks Attorneys of Australia (IPTA) and a Member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand (IPSANZ).
