Gerard Skelly is a Principal within the firm’s trade marks group with extensive experience in trade mark registration and enforcement, specialising in trade mark oppositions.
Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Biochemistry and Chemistry, Gerard also has particular expertise in the pharmaceutical field. Gerard was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1988 after obtaining a Bachelor of Laws from The University of Sydney and spent two years in general legal practice before joining the firm in 1990.
Gerard is a contributor to Worldwide Trademark Transfers, published by the International Trademarks Association. Gerard also regularly presents papers on Australian trade mark law at national and international conferences for IP associations such as IPTA, IPSANZ, ITMA and FICPI.
